4K a year POSITION SUMMARY Maintains customer's cataloging database based on local library practices for projects and accounts.
This includes adding, deleting, and maintaining data significant to the individual customers' requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job.

Manipulates, converts, and updates data to conform to customers' local cataloging practices.
Generates information for the creation and extraction of MARC records using the Cataloging utility.
Makes printed products based on local practices.
Obtains branch distribution to assist in producing inventory records.
Interprets MARC record and material content for the appropriate codes for different Library Automation Systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS High school graduate or equivalent and one to three years of work experience.
Ability to learn about the manipulation of MARC records and cataloging practices.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively to customers and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and lift/move up to 10 lbs.
The employee frequently is required to stand, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, lift/move up to 25 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
