Build and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external partners up to the executive level.
What You'll Do/ A Day in The Life Typically IncludesProvide key customer Professional Services support.
Lead Library Application team meetings to share company and product/service updates.
Direct the Library Application team by setting priorities, providing support, and envisioning technical workflow advancements with increased automation.
Approve code and production changes for deployment.
Participate in BTCAT/production development calls and ensure follow up is complete on dev tasks such as user story creation.
Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance for BTCAT, ORS, and other Baker & Taylor applications.
Ensure new hire training is scheduled and aligns with cataloger onboarding.
You are responsible to deliver services in a timely and cost-effective manner and provide excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesYou direct the team responsible for implementation of customer focused BTCAT Professional Services by offering customized architectural solutions for both technical and procedural workflows.
You oversee creation of Professional Services solutions and strategies for increasing BTCAT subscription sales.
You oversee and direct department team members using Agile methodology and Microsoft Dev Ops software.
You identify enhancement needs and priorities for BTCAT for all markets as well as existing and future business to business partnerships.
You lead data conversion and migration projects for internal data as well as existing and future business partnerships.
You oversee the Dev Ops GIT repository for Python files including reviewing code and deploying production changes.
You work with the Director, Development and Cataloging Services, to innovate and develop technical solutions to improve internal workflow efficiencies.
You oversee and direct Copy Cataloging training for onshore and offshore teams.
You oversee and direct Copy Cataloging skills audits and policy implementation training.
You define and monitor team success criteria for testing and product acceptance for BTCAT, ORS and other Baker & Taylor applications.
You create long-term competitive strategies for BTCAT and identify opportunities to increase external sales.

MLS or equivalent knowledge in cataloging required.
Knowledge of MARC records & the B&T MARC system.
Knowledge of cataloging rules and applications.
Knowledge of and ability to write Python scripts and programs for manipulation of MARC formatted dataKnowledge of library automation systems, bibliographic utilities and technical services internal systems (BTCAT, BTLabels, ORS, iLOD/DMP).
Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret requirements for current and future business and cataloging applications.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals and policies.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, staff and customers.
PC Skills and software knowledge.
Experience with databases, spreadsheets, word processors and development applications.
Excellent internal and external oral & writing communication skills required.
Supervisory skills or equivalent leadership skills required.
Ability to meet deadlines and key deliverables.
Proven teaching abilities.
Organization skills & proven project management required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
