Human Resources Generalist Position Overview:

Responsibilities:
Own the onsite recruitment, hiring, and retention of members, who are committed to making the best sausage in the world Support new hire orientation process with new hire paperwork, processes, and system access Responsible for entering new hire information and master data changes into SAP Act as a point of contact for employee relations inquiries from all members Assist members with the great indirect programs Momence Packing Co.
offers Assist Coaches (supervisors) in investigations and facilitate resolution of member relations concerns ensuring fair and consistent resolutions Create, implement, and support initiatives that build Momence Packing Co's culture and ensure it continues to thrive and serve as a strategic advantage for the organization - now and in the future Demonstrate knowledge and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Assist in the development and improvement of policies, programs, and procedures to advance the effectiveness of human resources and operations Coach and influence others to make timely decisions using sound leadership practices, company guidelines and legal considerations Work with teams to improve the quality of work life and member engagement Respond and gather information for unemployment claims Other duties as assigned Education:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field preferred SHRM or PHR certification preferred
Experience:
Minimum of three years of human resources work experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment Experience working in a union environment preferred Experience leading and supporting strategic initiatives, influencing others, and driving results Skills and Competencies:
Bi-lingual English/Spanish highly preferred Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Excellent PC skills with HR Information Systems and Microsoft Office Suite or related software experience Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to assess personnel policies, programs, and procedures, and inform members and coaches on the interpretation and understanding of each Proven ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities Posting Date:
